Kids and Broccoli
Steam the broccoli: Lightly steam the broccoli so it becomes soft and tender and easy to eat. It will still retain all of its valuable nutrients. Ensure that the broccoli is in bite size pieces so that it fits into your child’s mouth. Add flavor: Serve the broccoli with a delightful sauce. Sauces can include cheese sauce, hummus, ranch dressing, salsa, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc. Or lightly sprinkle cooked broccoli with Parmesan cheese, herbs, light soy sauce or garlic salt. Add it to a dish they already like: Broccoli blends well with many foods. Add it to pasta sauce, mac and cheese or use it as a topping on pizza.
