Q&A with The Sneaky Chef
- What is your name?
- The Sneaky Chef
- What was your very first cooking experience?
- As kids everything went into the toaster oven. There wasn't much that little guy could not handle. Open-faced grilled cheese sandwiches turned out great in there.
- Do you ever make mistakes cooking?
- All the time! It's part of learning. I really don't think there is anything that can truly be called a mistake because we always learn something from everything we do, even if it turns out differently from how we intended.
- Who taught you how to cook?
- My mom and step-mom. I was lucky enough to have two.
- Why do you like to plan and make meals?
- Planning helps me save time both in preparation and in shopping for ingredients. Plus, nothing is ever wasted because I know everyone will eat what is planned.
- What advice do you have for kids 10 to 14 to learn to cook?
- It's never too soon to start. You might need your parents help for some things, but take responsibility for cleaning up and they'll let you do just about anything.
- Why do you like zisboombah?
- It's fun and easy!
- What is your favorite food?
- Chocolate!!!!
- How long have you been a chef?
- All my life.
- Where do you work now?
- All around the country but mostly New York.
- What does your day consist of?
- Trying new recipes, writing about them, and then feeding them to my kids.
- What thought process do you use when making a meal?
- Only good thoughts. The energy that goes into food is as important as the ingredients.
- If you have kids, do they like to eat your food?
- Mac n Cheese, Power pizza, Crunchy Chicken Tenders, and Unbelievable Chocolate Chip Cookies.
